An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Bilbo in the 12th minute of play forced River Super Club's goalkeeper Martin Cayo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. River Super Club's Fotis Katramados got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fotis Katramados's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christian Kiliz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Fernando Bilbo put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Martin Cayo. In the 30th minute Fernando Bilbo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Cayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to River Super Club getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Modesto Platon hit a great ball. Fernando Bilbo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Fernando Bilbo came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Flan Mixto FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Bilbo couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fotis Katramados in the 42nd minute of play forced Flan Mixto FC's goalkeeper Christian Kiliz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the match, River Super Club's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Bilbo came free, but Martin Cayo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fotis Katramados was the one to do the kick off. River Super Club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 57th minute, when Luciano Santin scored to the left of an out of position Martin Cayo, making the score, 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luciano Santin got free with Martin Cayo in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. River Super Club's Martin Cayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luciano Santin in the 62nd minute of play. In the 75th minute Fotis Katramados shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Kiliz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Flan Mixto FC defense, Fotis Katramados kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christian Kiliz. The Flan Mixto FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christian Kiliz should have stopped the shot. When Fotis Katramados fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River Super Club's protests and gave Fotis Katramados a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Flan Mixto FC booed when River Super Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fotis Katramados didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute, Santos Ricart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Flan Mixto FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Flan Mixto FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
