The audience was convinced that Dalmacio Musko's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raul Chumo was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. With a little luck, Estudiantes de rio IV's Emilio Palos got control of the ball when Everardo Faron tried to sneak it across the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ildefonso Cuartio couldn't finish the play. Estudiantes de rio IV's Emilio Palos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Patiño in the 13th minute of play. Raul Chumo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Segundo Gaxan in the 19th minute of play. Club Pucará:s Raul Chumo showed great skill when he stopped Candido Chan:s penalty. In the 29th minute Dalmacio Musko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raul Chumo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicolas Patiño might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emilio Palos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicolas Patiño ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicolas Patiño in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emilio Palos saved Estudiantes de rio IV from getting behind. After taking down the ball on Club Pucará's corner Everardo Faron fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Emilio Palos quite easily take care of the ball. In the 40th minute of the match, Dragutin Milićević got a very nice opportunity to score, but Emilio Palos was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Estudiantes de rio IV's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Everardo Faron was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Pucará's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Club Pucará's Everardo Faron to fire away a dangerous shot which Emilio Palos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 44 minutes, Adrian Txindoki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Pucará and the Estudiantes de rio IV players grew even worse after the yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dalmacio Musko to make the kick off. The supporters of Club Pucará booed when Estudiantes de rio IV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ildefonso Cuartio didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Nicolas Patiño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Club Pucará made a substitution.
