After 4 played minutes Celtic FC got a freekick which was hit by Ted Ambjörnsson. Sebastián Junes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ger Saber in the 7th minute of the match. In the 10th minute Teo Paez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastián Junes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute, Celtic FC's Isidoro Lugo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After 17 minutes S.C. Sardaukar's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ted Ambjörnsson who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Bernd Goorts heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. With a little luck, S.C. Sardaukar's Damian Torres got control of the ball when Nicolas Froila tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Celtic FC booed when S.C. Sardaukar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvério do Valle didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silvério do Valle during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 24th minute, Silvério do Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind S.C. Sardaukar's goalkeeper Damian Torres, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sebastián Junes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ger Saber in the 29th minute of play. Isidoro Lugo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Damian Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celtic FC's Sebastián Junes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquin Ioritz in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, Nicolas Froila cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Damian Torres was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Damian Torres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Lugo, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After 59 played minutes Celtic FC got a freekick which was hit by Dionisio Barea. 庞雄昆's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sebastián Junes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Celtic FC's zone, Mateo Transito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastián Junes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateo Transito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Celtic FC were furious when Dionisio Barea was red carded, 69 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. S.C. Sardaukar made a substitution. Nuno Vilaverde replaced Mateo Transito. Celtic FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 78th minute, when Nuno Vilaverde scored to the left of an out of position Sebastián Junes, making the score, 2-2. Damian Torres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Froila, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After 83 minutes S.C. Sardaukar's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ted Ambjörnsson who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Jacinto Abaunza managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 87th minute, Oscar Udalaitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. S.C. Sardaukar's Damian Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernd Goorts in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st minute Nuno Vilaverde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastián Junes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The S.C. Sardaukar players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Celtic FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
