La Fenix's Silvano Manex got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cordairo Ribas in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aloísio Vides saved La Fenix from getting behind. Aloísio Vides made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cordairo Ribas in the 73rd minute of play. After 74 minutes La Fenix's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Amador Vachon who took care of the corner kick. After 75 played minutes Pegaso got a freekick which was hit by Alfred Zbikowski. Pegaso's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ruperto Panpili was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cordairo Ribas in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aloísio Vides prevented the ball from getting in the gole. La Fenix's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
