Paunero's Albino Inguma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nemesio Tximitx in the 18th minute of play. With a little luck, ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s Serafin Cesaro got control of the ball when Ariel Gilabert tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 23rd match minute, Paunero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulino Eguerdi to maneuver through the defense. Serafin Cesaro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francesco Cilli's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. The audience was convinced that Francesco Cilli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Serafin Cesaro was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. After 43 played minutes Paunero got a freekick which was hit by Paulino Eguerdi. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ariel Gilabert to make the kick off. Tadeo Ederono fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafin Cesaro having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Paunero's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Bergqvist came free, but Albino Inguma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francesco Cilli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafin Cesaro having to interfere. Paunero's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
