Ever Ludueña didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Elliott Falcão came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the River de Ramos Mejía fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elliott Falcão couldn't finish the play. After 19 played minutes Chimborazo A.F.C got a freekick which was hit by Przemyslaw Solecki. Yan Ang Jun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elliott Falcão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute Alejo Maties shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yan Ang Jun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chimborazo A.F.C's Yan Ang Jun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alejo Maties in the 30th minute of play. Yan Ang Jun came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by River de Ramos Mejía's Angelo Grabiel. But to his dismay, Angelo Grabiel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Grabiel in the 36th minute of play forced Chimborazo A.F.C's goalkeeper Yan Ang Jun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 38 in the game by Angelo Grabiel from a close distance when the talented Yan Ang Jun managed to make a qualified save. Chimborazo A.F.C's players were relieved. In the 40thth minute of the game Angelo Grabiel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chimborazo A.F.C's Yan Ang Jun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Angelo Grabiel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yan Ang Jun was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. In the 43rd minute Elliott Falcão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yan Ang Jun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Claudiu Niculescu to strike the kick off in the second half. If Elliott Falcão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mădălin Holban during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to River de Ramos Mejía getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Mădălin Holban hit a great ball. In the 55th minute, Florentino Nabar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, River de Ramos Mejía's Eleuterio Maureo got control of the ball when Ernesto Pacifico tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eleuterio Maureo made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Claudiu Niculescu sent off a good shot on target. When Chimborazo A.F.C's Claudiu Niculescu, in the 58th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Chimborazo A.F.C. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angelo Grabiel in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yan Ang Jun saved Chimborazo A.F.C from getting behind. River de Ramos Mejía made a substitution. Albino Olayo replaced Mădălin Holban. River de Ramos Mejía made a substitution. Claudiu Niculescu kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the River de Ramos Mejía defense, Victorio Gregory kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eleuterio Maureo. The River de Ramos Mejía fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eleuterio Maureo should have stopped the shot. In the 88th minute Claudiu Niculescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eleuterio Maureo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92ndth minute of the game Angelo Grabiel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chimborazo A.F.C's Yan Ang Jun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Chimborazo A.F.C players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
