The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elpidio Francis in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gaspar Heriberto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Venancio Havier in the 4th minute of play forced C.A Wanderer´s's goalkeeper Gaspar Heriberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Inocencio Cristos came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inocencio Cristos couldn't finish the play. Gaspar Heriberto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elpidio Francis's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. A collision led to C.A Wanderer´s getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Hugo Tristan hit a great ball. Gaspar Heriberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inocencio Cristos in the 20th minute of play. Elpidio Francis scored 0-4 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gaspar Heriberto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 26th minute, Miguel Prosperi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gaspar Heriberto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Elpidio Francis sped through C.A Wanderer´s's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gaspar Heriberto. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Miguel Prosperi got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 33 minutes into the game, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gaspar Heriberto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jose Bordat during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 39th minute, Jose Bordat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in C.A Wanderer´s's zone, Elpidio Francis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaspar Heriberto came out of the goal and Elpidio Francis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gaspar Heriberto came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Miguel Prosperi. But to his dismay, Miguel Prosperi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-9. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Miguel Prosperi managed to get in a good position for a shot. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Prosperi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaspar Heriberto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A Wanderer´s's goalkeeper Gaspar Heriberto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-9 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elpidio Francis to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Esteban Iztal fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gaspar Heriberto, passed just outside the right post. Elpidio Francis had several of the C.A Wanderer´s's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 51 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-10 score and a disappointed Gaspar Heriberto as he didn't even see the shot coming. Jose Bordat got a throw-in 55 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Rosendo Eliu. Miguel Prosperi took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gaspar Heriberto. Gaspar Heriberto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-11. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Francis in the 61st minute of play forced C.A Wanderer´s's goalkeeper Gaspar Heriberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Elpidio Francis took a quick shot and it went in 0-12 without a chance for Gaspar Heriberto to make any attempt to save it. Gaspar Heriberto made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Miguel Prosperi sent off a good shot on target. Gaspar Heriberto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Elpidio Francis showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-13 in the 66 minute of play. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Venancio Estavan was substituted for Elpidio Francis. With his leg Gaspar Heriberto managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Venancio Estavan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marciano Calvino in the 92nd minute of play. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA were awarded a corner in the 95th minute after C.A Wanderer´s's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Miguel Prosperi took the corner. The corner ended in Miguel Prosperi almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but C.A Wanderer´s's Gaspar Heriberto did a great save. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
