In the 21st match minute, Atlético Argentino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timoteo Rojelio to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd play minute Luis Vázquez came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Billy Gibson. 1-0. Pastor Nofres short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Billy Gibson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Atlético Argentino's Pastor Nofre was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 30th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Vincent Jansson scored 2-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raimundo Feliu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. CARMINA REVOLUCIONES's Billy Gibson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Vázquez in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute Vitor Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Billy Gibson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredo Quirce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Vincent Jansson in the 52nd minute of play forced Atlético Argentino's goalkeeper Raimundo Feliu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Atlético Argentino's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vincent Jansson was slow to take the kick. During this time CARMINA REVOLUCIONES's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Atlético Argentino's goalie and right to Alfredo Quirce. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Atlético Argentino's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 59th minute Luis Vázquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Billy Gibson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute, Josemir Lujambio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Billy Gibson was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. The supporters of Atlético Argentino booed when CARMINA REVOLUCIONES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blas Inguma didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atlético Argentino made a substitution. Meder Fabelo replaced Joaquín Guzmán. After 69 played minutes CARMINA REVOLUCIONES got a freekick which was hit by Blas Inguma. Billy Gibson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josemir Lujambio in the 72nd minute of the match. After 77 minutes of play, Atlético Argentino's Josemir Lujambio made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Billy Gibson was left in no man's land by his defense there! CARMINA REVOLUCIONES's Billy Gibson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josemir Lujambio in the 80th minute of play. Eufemio Yabbarov took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Billy Gibson. CARMINA REVOLUCIONES's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Alfredo Quirce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 90 minutes, Vitor Tejedor made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. CARMINA REVOLUCIONES's Billy Gibson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Jari Litmanen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Atlético Argentino had won after a very even match.
