The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ñacuñán AC's Luis Bartoleme was substituted for Jose Hernando. Maximino Ellande hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cosme Lauaxeta in the 53rd minute of play forced Plumerillo's goalkeeper Abel Matro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
