The supporters of Plumerillo booed when Timo! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Plumerillo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Izydor Karbowski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. But to his dismay, Ilie Hurmuz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Franco Benvenuto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Plumerillo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Timo! the free kick. Timo!'s Fernando Kimetz was substituted for Blas Maldonado. After a defensive mix-up in Plumerillo's zone, Izydor Karbowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Matro came out of the goal and Izydor Karbowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 94 played minutes Timo! got a freekick which was hit by Telmo Camargo. In the 97th match minute, Plumerillo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugeniusz Koczara to maneuver through the defense. Timo!'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
