Eugenio Asier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebio Mattin in the 25th minute of play. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Efrain Roldan to make the kick off. The CERPA fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when CERPA's Mauricio Macías looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ranelagh F.C.'s Edgardo Guifre was substituted for Emilio Solustiano. Victoriano Tonete blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Francisco Behe having to make a save. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
