Inocencio Frichoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Ermegildo Horado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jacinto Asteri fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CAI NEUQUEN's protests and gave Jacinto Asteri a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, CAI NEUQUEN's Jacinto Asteri got a free kick in the 28th minute. Venancio Oto was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Inocencio Frichoso came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Punta Alvear fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inocencio Frichoso couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Eleazar in the 42nd minute of play forced CAI NEUQUEN's goalkeeper Ermegildo Horado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute Erasmo Gonchan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Venancio Oto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Desiderio Naelio was the one to do the kick off. CAI NEUQUEN's Ermegildo Horado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Izel in the 52nd minute of play.
