Stat Veritas FC's Solomon Okoronkwo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Venancio Oto in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 7 minutes into the game, Glauco Sarmento was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stat Veritas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Punta Alvear the free kick. After 7 played minutes Stat Veritas FC got a freekick which was hit by Glauco Sarmento. Inocencio Frichoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauricio Erramun having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Punta Alvear's Inocencio Frichoso got a free kick in the 18th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ermegildo Heriberto in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mauricio Erramun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 24 minutes into the match, Punta Alvear's goal looked a bit too open when Pipo Benedetto came free, but Venancio Oto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Ermegildo Heriberto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Punta Alvear's supporters rose to their feet, but Ermegildo Heriberto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauricio Erramun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 32 minutes into the match, Pipo Benedetto notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Punta Alvear's Venancio Oto. Venancio Oto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mauricio Erramun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inocencio Frichoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pipo Benedetto was the one to do the kick off. Domingo Cordarrel made in the 52nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Stat Veritas FC's Aktaç Kutyan. Mauricio Erramun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ermegildo Heriberto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 54 minutes Stat Veritas FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jacinto Eleazar who took care of the corner kick. Jacinto Eleazar made a great header on Punta Alvear's corner, it was just that Stat Veritas FC's Mauricio Erramun managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience was convinced that Pipo Benedetto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Venancio Oto was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Ciriaco Tanio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Venancio Oto having to make a save. In the 91st minute Ciriaco Tanio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Venancio Oto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Stat Veritas FC's Roger Gili got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Flavio Izel made in the 94th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Stat Veritas FC's Teodosio Cordera. For all the effort they put into the match, the Punta Alvear players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Stat Veritas FC.
