Benjamin Tino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pipo Benedetto in the 3rd minute of play. Mauricio Erramun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cleto Cordaro in the 6th minute. Mauricio Erramun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Indiana Jones, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Diego Portela made in the 9th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Pajo Pajot. Mauricio Erramun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Indiana Jones, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Club El Progreso's Diego Portela got a free kick in the 12th minute. Club El Progreso's Benjamin Tino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pipo Benedetto in the 13th minute of play. Benjamin Tino came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Stat Veritas FC's Pipo Benedetto. But to his dismay, Pipo Benedetto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Indiana Joness short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Mauricio Erramun to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 25 minutes into the match, Pipo Benedetto notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Club El Progreso's Benjamin Tino. Benjamin Tino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 28 minutes into the game, Stat Veritas FC's Pipo Benedetto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benjamin Tino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After some careless play in the Club El Progreso defense, Pipo Benedetto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benjamin Tino. The Club El Progreso fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benjamin Tino should have stopped the shot. 47 minutes into the match, Stat Veritas FC's Pipo Benedetto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benjamin Tino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After the first half Stat Veritas FC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Indiana Jones to strike the kick off in the second half. Diego Portela kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Stat Veritas FC made a substitution. Ciriaco Tanio replaced Pipo Benedetto. Stat Veritas FC's Ever Ludueña was substituted for Aktaç Kutyan. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stat Veritas FC's goalkeeper Mauricio Erramun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 71st minute, Ciriaco Tanio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benjamin Tino was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Stat Veritas FC made a substitution. Luis Admon replaced Solomon Okoronkwo. Mauricio Erramun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Indiana Jones, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Club El Progreso's Benjamin Tino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciriaco Tanio in the 83rd minute of play. After 84 played minutes Club El Progreso got a freekick which was hit by Pajo Pajot. In the 87thth minute of the game Ciriaco Tanio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club El Progreso's Benjamin Tino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luis Admon spun around in front of the goal 90 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Club El Progreso's goal. In the 93rd minute, Diego Portela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute Ciriaco Tanio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Tino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stat Veritas FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
