Belmiro Arruda might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Folkert Vos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Belmiro Arruda ran back to his position shaking his head. Folkert Vos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belmiro Arruda in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Jurdan in the 19th minute of play forced Deportivo Tachito's goalkeeper Elias Selatse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Masters's Folkert Vos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belmiro Arruda in the 24th minute of play. In the 30th minute Timoteo Griguol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Selatse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute, Belmiro Arruda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Folkert Vos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Jurdan in the 33rd minute of play forced Deportivo Tachito's goalkeeper Elias Selatse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Deportivo Tachito's Gartzen Bueno got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to The Masters getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Francisco Tulio hit a great ball. In the 48th match minute, The Masters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Tulio to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in The Masters's zone, Belmiro Arruda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Folkert Vos came out of the goal and Belmiro Arruda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Deportivo Tachito were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Franco Alfonso to make the kick off. In the 54th minute of the match, Belmiro Arruda got a very nice opportunity to score, but Folkert Vos was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Elias Selatse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franco Alfonso in the 55th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Belmiro Arruda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 66th minute, Franco Alfonso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Masters fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The audience was convinced that Claudiu Niculescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Folkert Vos was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. It was a well-played corner which Federico Jurdan managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Elias Selatse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Federico Jurdan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Franco Alfonso struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Elias Selatse didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Masters.
