The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Lagrima en Jarrita's goalkeeper Loco Malo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Concetto Trasatti. In the 3rd minute, Estudiantes de América's Concetto Trasatti dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Marcos Ranolfo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Lore in the 7th minute of play. Loco Malo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Concetto Trasatti in the 8th minute of play. Marcos Ranolfo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Isaio in the 14th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de América's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Lore came free, but Marcos Ranolfo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Estudiantes de América booed when Lagrima en Jarrita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingos Gaitan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcos Ranolfo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Isaio in the 25th minute of the match. Loco Malo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Traian Blăniță, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Kert Roolaid hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute, Maximo Dei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Concetto Trasatti was the one to do the kick off. 58 minutes into the game, Kert Roolaid threw the ball into play from the sideline. Lagrima en Jarrita's Marcial Veremundo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 63 played minutes Estudiantes de América got a freekick which was hit by Kert Roolaid. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Hellsing in the 65th minute of play forced Estudiantes de América's goalkeeper Marcos Ranolfo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute of the game Florencio Urbasa made a throw-in which Andreas Hellsing played forward. After 81 minutes of play, Estudiantes de América's Kraig Fred made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Loco Malo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marcos Ranolfo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andreas Hellsing went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 94th minute Andreas Hellsing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Ranolfo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
