The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Petar Bukvić stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Čeda Đurović's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. The Sirmium Legionaries F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when Sirmium Legionaries F.C.'s Čeda Đurović looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 77th minute, Ljuba Todić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Dobrašin Veljović managed to get in a good position for a shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Čeda Đurović got free with Petar Bukvić in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Omoljica's Petar Bukvić proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Omoljica from getting a goal against them. Sirmium Legionaries F.C.'s Pavle Komazec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Srđan Iliev in the 99th minute of play.
