Spectators: 6782 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1782, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ol Bellew breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Selyf Gilroy came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the UWA Maesteg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Selyf Gilroy couldn't finish the play. In the 24th minute, Baddon Dancy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 37 played minutes UWA Maesteg got a freekick which was hit by Accalon Canning. Edmyg Rush made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Llwydeu Bellew sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Selyf Gilroy in the 44th minute of play forced UWA Cardigan's goalkeeper Ol Bellew to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to UWA Cardigan getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Cas Catton hit a great ball. Selyf Gilroy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ol Bellew having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in UWA Cardigan's zone, Accalon Canning stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ol Bellew came out of the goal and Accalon Canning tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amerawdwr Case recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teithi Snob hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. UWA Cardigan's Llwydeu Bellew managed to work through UWA Maesteg's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Llwydeu Bellew dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. If Llwydeu Bellew had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the game, Braen Barrington was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UWA Maesteg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UWA Cardigan the free kick. Braen Barrington kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. If Selyf Gilroy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmyg Rush showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amerawdwr Case, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 76th minute, Amerawdwr Case made a precise shot to the right of Edmyg Rush. UWA Maesteg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Amerawdwr Case's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edmyg Rush read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Accalon Canning received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Ol Bellew tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
