The Bridgend FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gwres Fergus should have stopped the shot. In the 12th minute, Gorsedd Finnegan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ieuan Jamison showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gwyn Culpepper in the 13th minute of the match. Gorsedd Finnegan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ieuan Jamison having to interfere. When Gwyn Culpepper came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Bridgend FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gwyn Culpepper couldn't finish the play. In the 26th minute, Gerallt Blackburn reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gwres Fergus. The goal made the score 2-0. Gwres Fergus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerallt Blackburn , who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. If Gwyn Culpepper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the game, Cadell Tapley was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Porthcawl Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bridgend FC the free kick. A collision led to Porthcawl Utd getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Cadell Tapley hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Porthcawl Utd's zone, Gwyn Culpepper stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ieuan Jamison came out of the goal and Gwyn Culpepper tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Porthcawl Utd's Perceval Jolson got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Greid Brin hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. In the 47th match minute, Porthcawl Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arianwyn Cornell to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Bridgend FC's Evrei Hannah tried to score from far away in the 48th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gwyn Culpepper was the one to do the kick off. Gwres Fergus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Perceval Jolson, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. The audience held their breath when Greid Brin in the 58th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Gwres Fergus's left hand side. In the 62nd minute Gerallt Blackburn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwres Fergus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gwres Fergus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perceval Jolson in the 66th minute of play. If Gorsedd Finnegan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ieuan Jamison took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gwyn Culpepper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Gorsedd Finnegan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bridgend FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gorsedd Finnegan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ieuan Jamison breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 88 minutes into the game, Arianwyn Cornell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Porthcawl Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bridgend FC the free kick. Bridgend FC's attack was well implemented in the 90th minute, but when Gorsedd Finnegan was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Gwyn Culpepper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Ieuan Jamison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gorsedd Finnegan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Porthcawl Utd getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Lludd Lea hit a great ball. The Porthcawl Utd players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
