After 8 played minutes UWA Beaumaris got a freekick which was hit by Brys Lindley. After 13 played minutes Penarth got a freekick which was hit by Aberthol Langley. A collision led to UWA Beaumaris getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Garnock Cockane hit a great ball. In the 15th play minute Urien Barnett came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Melkin Dunn. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nerth Chase in the 20th minute of play forced Penarth's goalkeeper Howell Folds to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Celyn Eccles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Penarth's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UWA Beaumaris the free kick. In the 20th match minute, Penarth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celyn Eccles to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, UWA Beaumaris's goal looked a bit too open when Bwlch Inger came free, but Melkin Dunn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 32 minutes, Fercos Boniface mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Penarth and the UWA Beaumaris players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nerth Chase in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Howell Folds saved Penarth from getting behind. Nerth Chase received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Howell Folds tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Urien Barnett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melkin Dunn having to interfere. After 40 played minutes, Penarth's Lionel Everson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Melkin Dunn came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Penarth reached it. UWA Beaumaris's Melkin Dunn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bwlch Inger in the 43rd minute of play. Urien Barnett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Melkin Dunn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nerth Chase made a kick off. When Urien Barnett came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Penarth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Urien Barnett couldn't finish the play. In the 56th minute, Bwlch Inger made a precise shot to the right of Melkin Dunn. UWA Beaumaris's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Brys Lindley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Howell Folds came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by UWA Beaumaris's Brys Lindley. But to his dismay, Brys Lindley quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Celyn Eccles kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brys Lindley got free with Howell Folds in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Melkin Dunn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Urien Barnett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
