The referee ignored Penarth's protests and gave Aberthol Langley a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Bangor booed when Penarth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aberthol Langley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gwilym Johnson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Urien Barnett managed to get in a good position for a shot. Penarth's supporters rose to their feet, but Urien Barnett was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dewey Coffee breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 26 minutes into the match, Penarth's Bwlch Inger sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dewey Coffee narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gwilym Johnson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Howell Folds having to interfere. Kynedyr Finneran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Penarth's zone, Gwilym Johnson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Howell Folds came out of the goal and Gwilym Johnson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Penarth's Howell Folds played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kynedyr Finneran in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute, Aberthol Langley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 36th minute of the match, Bwlch Inger tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dewey Coffee saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Dewey Coffee made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Urien Barnett sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Penarth booed when Bangor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clust Boyce didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Howell Folds made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Kynedyr Finneran sent off a good shot on target. Bwlch Inger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Dewey Coffee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Urien Barnett's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dewey Coffee read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. The Penarth fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. When Lionel Everson fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 72nd minute, one of Penarth:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Penarth. The goalkeeper, Howell Folds, was totally fooled by Bangor's Lot Cochrane, who 75 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 80 minutes into the match, Penarth's goal looked a bit too open when Gwilym Johnson came free, but Howell Folds reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Bangor's goal looked a bit too open when Urien Barnett came free, but Dewey Coffee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
