If Maelwys Greener had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute, one of UWA Cardiff:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for UWA Cardiff. Maelwys Greener fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Llyn Flannery having to interfere. Maelwys Greener received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Llyn Flannery tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cadfan Huckaby scored 1-1 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Caradawg Gilboy, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Casnar Ingersoll made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Casnar Ingersoll in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Llyn Flannery prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Maelwys Greener came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the UWA Bridgend fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maelwys Greener couldn't finish the play.
