Spectators: 6774 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Madoc Kenna got the match started through his kick off. Calcas Jack showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Siencyn Christian in the 4th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Newtown's zone, Naw Fletcher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Calcas Jack came out of the goal and Naw Fletcher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Pelles Herrington managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newtown's supporters rose to their feet, but Pelles Herrington was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baudwin Dell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 20th match minute, Newtown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermid Augustin to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Newtown's Calcas Jack got control of the ball when Hydd Blackadder tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Pelles Herrington fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Newtown's protests and gave Pelles Herrington a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Neath booed when Newtown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pelles Herrington didn't get a good kick on the ball. Neath's freekick was in a very dangerous position and Dillus Kay used this in the best possible way by corkscrewing a shot in 2-0 behind the goalkeeper. In the 34thth minute of the game Siencyn Christian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Newtown's Calcas Jack was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Siencyn Christian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Siencyn Christian was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Newtown booed when Neath was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ffodor Large didn't get a good kick on the ball. 55 minutes into the game, Pelles Herrington cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Baudwin Dell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Neath's Baudwin Dell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Neath from getting a goal against them. Pelles Herringtons short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Baudwin Dell to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Pelles Herrington fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baudwin Dell having to interfere. Siencyn Christian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Calcas Jack tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Neath's Hydd Blackadder sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Calcas Jack narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pelles Herrington received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Baudwin Dell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Newtown's goalkeeper Calcas Jack, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Calcas Jack made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Siencyn Christian in the 86th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Neath's goal looked a bit too open when Madoc Kenna came free, but Baudwin Dell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Madoc Kenna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baudwin Dell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Madoc Kenna's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd minute, Pelles Herrington got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Newtown's Madoc Kenna in the 95th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Baudwin Dell was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Neath through an amazing save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Siencyn Christian in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Calcas Jack saved Newtown from getting behind. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Neath fans cheered their team off the field, for while Newtown had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
