After a rather tough play, UWA Maesteg's Elphin Jagger got a free kick in the 12th minute. After 19 played minutes UWA Baglan got a freekick which was hit by Robat Scrutiner. Rhyd Kilkelly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vaughn Gilliland in the 23rd minute of play. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind UWA Baglan's goalkeeper Gwalchmei Burdick, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Sel Kenna came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the UWA Maesteg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sel Kenna couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gleis Earley in the 30th minute of play forced UWA Baglan's goalkeeper Gwalchmei Burdick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vaughn Gilliland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vaughn Gilliland made a kick off. After 53 played minutes UWA Baglan got a freekick which was hit by Pasgen Farran. 59 minutes into the match, UWA Maesteg's goal looked a bit too open when Vaughn Gilliland came free, but Rhyd Kilkelly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sel Kenna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gwalchmei Burdick read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. When Pasgen Farran fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UWA Baglan's protests and gave Pasgen Farran a yellow card for diving instead. In the 64th minute, Pasgen Farran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Waljan Head charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Waljan Head the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to UWA Maesteg getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Waljan Head hit a great ball. The audience held their breath when Gwythyr Abrams in the 69th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Rhyd Kilkelly's left hand side. 76 minutes into the match, UWA Maesteg's goal looked a bit too open when Wren Fielding came free, but Rhyd Kilkelly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vaughn Gilliland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Rhyd Kilkelly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Vaughn Gilliland's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rhyd Kilkelly was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
