After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Amhar Gill managed to get in a good position for a shot. UWA Bridgend's supporters rose to their feet, but Amhar Gill was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Llwydeu Jay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lavaine Budge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kent Lumpp, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. The audience was convinced that Yale Lamph's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lavaine Budge was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Llwydeu Jay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amhar Gill's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Amhar Gill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yale Lamph fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lavaine Budge having to interfere. Lavaine Budge didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kent Lumpp went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score.

The wind increased when Amhar Gill made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the match UWA Bridgend got a corner. Porthcawl Utd's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Elphin Loane ran over to the corner to take the kick. UWA Bridgend's Elphin Loane was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Llwydeu Jay in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 56th minute of the match, Kent Lumpp tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lavaine Budge saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Llwyd Glennon's late challenge caught a Porthcawl Utd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Llwyd Glennon helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to UWA Bridgend getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Llwyd Glennon hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Yale Lamph managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lavaine Budge made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Yale Lamph sent off a good shot on target. If Amhar Gill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute, Kent Lumpp fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. UWA Bridgend's Wren Haugh got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wren Haugh in the 92nd minute of play forced Porthcawl Utd's goalkeeper Llwydeu Jay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of UWA Bridgend booed when Porthcawl Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peissawg Driscoll didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Porthcawl Utd's zone, Wren Haugh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Llwydeu Jay came out of the goal and Wren Haugh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Porthcawl Utd supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Porthcawl Utd would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
