Seating: 1792, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gwyddawg Booth got the match started through his kick off. If Lloyd Hibberd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rhyl's Yestin Harden got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Rhyl's Lloyd Hibberd in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Knighton's goalie prevented a goal. After 14 played minutes Rhyl got a freekick which was hit by Caradoc Shrieve. In the 20th minute, Naw Andrew got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Gwyddawg Booth came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Knighton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gwyddawg Booth couldn't finish the play. Yestin Harden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Parry Hawley having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Knighton's goal looked a bit too open when Lloyd Hibberd came free, but Parry Hawley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Parry Hawley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lloyd Hibberd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gwyddawg Booth struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Kent Fergus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Knighton. After 40 played minutes Knighton got a freekick which was hit by Adwr Lacey. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Baudwin Fry managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rhyl's supporters rose to their feet, but Baudwin Fry was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Parry Hawley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 48th minute Yestin Harden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Parry Hawley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lloyd Hibberd was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Yestin Harden had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After 51 minutes, Iolo Critchley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Knighton and the Rhyl players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 52nd match minute, Knighton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iolo Critchley to maneuver through the defense. Kent Fergus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Naw Andrew, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 67th minute, Amren Fergus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rhyl's Baudwin Fry got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rhyl's Kent Fergus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gwyddawg Booth in the 70th minute of play. Lloyd Hibberd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lloyd Hibberd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Parry Hawley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Naw Andrew fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kent Fergus having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Naw Andrew in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kent Fergus saved Rhyl from getting behind. Kent Fergus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Naw Andrew in the 80th minute of the match. Kent Fergus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gwyddawg Booth in the 83rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Lloyd Hibberd managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rhyl's supporters rose to their feet, but Lloyd Hibberd was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Parry Hawley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
