Kent Boggs charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kent Boggs the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 9 played minutes Sun By The Sea got a freekick which was hit by Kent Boggs. Tadeusz Nowak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Drystan Barton in the 10th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in UWA Aberystwyth's zone, Odgar Deanly stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aeddan Lavender came out of the goal and Odgar Deanly tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Goreu Eccleston in the 20th minute of play forced UWA Aberystwyth's goalkeeper Aeddan Lavender to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Kevyn Foody fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UWA Aberystwyth's protests and gave Kevyn Foody a yellow card for diving instead. Goreu Eccleston recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to UWA Aberystwyth getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Bors Hough hit a great ball. Tadeusz Nowak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nerth Connolly in the 34th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Odgar Deanly could shoot a difficult shot in the 42nd minute, which Aeddan Lavender however easily saved by the left post. Jeppe Follestad took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aeddan Lavender. UWA Aberystwyth's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Goreu Eccleston made the kick off in the second half. If Odgar Deanly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The goalkeeper, Tadeusz Nowak, was totally fooled by UWA Aberystwyth's Awstin Hawley, who 71 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Kevyn Foody kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. If Nerth Connolly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute.
