In the 4th minute Peredur Epps shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barri Coneely saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Cardiff City F.C getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Romney Brinkman hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Weyland Grace sped through Cardiff City F.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Barri Coneely. With a little luck, UWA Penarth's Drwst Bissett got control of the ball when Cedric Gillam tried to sneak it across the goal line. A hard shot 12 in the game by Cedric Gillam from a close distance when the talented Drwst Bissett managed to make a qualified save. UWA Penarth's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in UWA Penarth's zone, Cedric Gillam stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Drwst Bissett came out of the goal and Cedric Gillam tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Romney Brinkman might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Drwst Bissett. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Romney Brinkman ran back to his position shaking his head. 24 minutes into the match, Cardiff City F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Peredur Epps came free, but Barri Coneely reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Weyland Grace fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barri Coneely having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Peredur Epps got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Drwst Bissett made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cedric Gillam in the 40th minute. Gwres Drummond's late challenge caught a Cardiff City F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gwres Drummond helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in UWA Penarth fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 42nd minute. Penalty! Anynnawg Scribler shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Cardiff City F.C's Cedric Gillam got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Cardiff City F.C players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. UWA Penarth were winning 0-1.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Weyland Grace in the 52nd minute of play forced Cardiff City F.C's goalkeeper Barri Coneely to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cedric Gillam in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Drwst Bissett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cedric Gillam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Drwst Bissett having to interfere. Drwst Bissett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romney Brinkman in the 57th minute of the match. Peredur Epps struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Barri Coneely didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UWA Penarth. Weyland Grace did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-2 to the left of a surprised Barri Coneely 64 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the game, Pasgen Halliday was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UWA Penarth's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cardiff City F.C the free kick. Pasgen Halliday kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. The Cardiff City F.C fans' excitement grew in the 69th match minute when Cardiff City F.C's Cedric Gillam looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cedric Gillam's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Drwst Bissett read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Romney Brinkman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gwres Drummond hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Cardiff City F.C were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after UWA Penarth's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Anynnawg Scribler took the corner. Romney Brinkman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Drwst Bissett read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. UWA Penarth walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
