Lug Benedict tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Rhyl's goal looked a bit too open when Caradawg Farley came free, but Lug Benedict reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rhyl's Lug Benedict played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waljan Hancock in the 16th minute of play. Lug Benedict took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ifor Bowie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ifor Bowie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ifor Bowie in the 21st minute of play forced Rhyl's goalkeeper Lug Benedict to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Waljan Hancock made a precise shot to the right of Lug Benedict. Rhyl's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. When Morhedral FC's Ifor Bowie in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rhyl's goalie prevented a goal. Lug Benedict breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Waljan Hancock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Morhedral FC booed when Rhyl was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caddoc Dacre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ifor Bowie succeeded in the game's 39th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. Ifor Bowie took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lug Benedict. Lug Benedict dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. After a rather tough play, Rhyl's Trefor Aykroyd got a free kick in the 46th minute. Ifor Bowie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lug Benedict having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Dillan Lamph received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Lug Benedict tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Waljan Hancock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lug Benedict made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ifor Bowie in the 74th minute of play. When Waljan Hancock came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Morhedral FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waljan Hancock couldn't finish the play. Lug Benedict stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ifor Bowie's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Lug Benedict showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ifor Bowie in the 84th minute of the match. If Waljan Hancock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caddoc Dacre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Rhyl's Lug Benedict got control of the ball when Waljan Hancock tried to sneak it across the goal line. Caradawg Farley might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lug Benedict. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Caradawg Farley ran back to his position shaking his head. When the final whistle sounded Morhedral FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Rhyl.
