The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Digon Hagen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Colwyn Dorsett in the 23rd minute of play. Steffan Ivers kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. With a little luck, Kenfig Hill Crimson's Digon Hagen got control of the ball when Colwyn Dorsett tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Gwawl Hatch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 48 minutes, Gwawl Hatch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kenfig Hill Crimson's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gwawl Hatch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gwawl Hatch to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anwir Ganly during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 57 played minutes, Flint's Renfrew Fitzjohn shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Digon Hagen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. The supporters of Kenfig Hill Crimson booed when Flint was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Colwyn Dorsett didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marrock Catton charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marrock Catton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gwawl Hatch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
