A collision led to UWA Flint getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Tomos Kelly hit a great ball. Kilydd Gearan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kynon Colville having to make a save. Tomos Kelly hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute, Caddoc Journeyman sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and UWA Flint's Gruffen Chapman didn't even have to move. Kynon Colville showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomos Flannery, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Hirwaun FC's zone, Kilydd Gearan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kynon Colville came out of the goal and Kilydd Gearan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kynon Colville made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kilydd Gearan in the 44th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Caerwyn Felix during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Tomos Flannery made the kick off in the second half. 61 minutes into the match, UWA Flint's Tomos Flannery sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kynon Colville narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kilydd Gearan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Kynon Colville tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hirwaun FC's Kynon Colville played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomos Flannery in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Hirwaun FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tomos Flannery fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Tomos Flannery fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kynon Colville having to interfere. After 73 played minutes Hirwaun FC got a freekick which was hit by Caerwyn Felix. A hard shot by Lleu Buttery from long distance, 74 minutes into the match, got Kynon Colville's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 75th minute of the match, Tomos Flannery tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kynon Colville saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Hirwaun FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Tomos Flannery 80 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Ol Cotterell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gruffen Chapman having to interfere. If Kilydd Gearan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. UWA Flint's Kilydd Gearan got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kilydd Gearan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kynon Colville having to interfere. After having played for 96 minutes, Tomos Flannery managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UWA Flint's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomos Flannery was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
