Spectators: 5100 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mariano Urquiaga started the match with the kick off. Syvwlch Cordwainer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Lovel Hobbs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clust Farthing recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 11th minute, Nicolae Mincu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute, Vicente Locatelli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Kenyon Blyth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kenyon Blyth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. After having played for 32 minutes, Nicolae Mincu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Llansanffraid-ym-Mechain's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolae Mincu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kenyon Blyth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Lovel Hobbs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Llansanffraid-ym-Mechain's zone, Kenyon Blyth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lovel Hobbs came out of the goal and Kenyon Blyth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The wind increased when Clust Farthing made the kick off in the second half. Clust Farthing could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Lovel Hobbs made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kenyon Blyth in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lovel Hobbs saved Llansanffraid-ym-Mechain from getting behind. Lovel Hobbs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kenyon Blyth in the 56th minute of the match. With a little luck, Llansanffraid-ym-Mechain's Lovel Hobbs got control of the ball when Clust Farthing tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mariano Urquiaga hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. When Clust Farthing came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Caerleon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clust Farthing couldn't finish the play. If Kenyon Blyth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lovel Hobbs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kenyon Blyth in the 68th minute of play. Gwres Keatinge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Locatelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Modred Flynn hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Mariano Urquiaga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gwres Keatinge having to interfere. Nicolae Mincu kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. When the match was over Caerleon could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Llansanffraid-ym-Mechain throughout the match.
