Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Collen Forsyth took the kick off in the first half of the match. Bwlch Thatcher didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 10th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, Cardiff's goalkeeper Bwlch Thatcher had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Berth Ammon. After some careless play in the Cardiff defense, Berth Ammon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bwlch Thatcher. The Cardiff fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bwlch Thatcher should have stopped the shot. Tremayne Lamph hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the match, Neath's goal looked a bit too open when Teregud Brien came free, but Mabon Keelan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Deiniol Hinton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Mabon Keelan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mabon Keelan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teregud Brien in the 26th minute of play. Rhett Berry scored 3-0 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bwlch Thatcher, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rhett Berry took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bwlch Thatcher. Bwlch Thatcher dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Teregud Brien to strike the kick off in the second half. If Teregud Brien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Teregud Brien came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Cardiff fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teregud Brien couldn't finish the play. After having played for 60 minutes, Teregud Brien managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cardiff's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teregud Brien was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rhett Berry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Bwlch Thatcher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bwlch Thatcher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Collen Forsyth in the 66th minute of the match. Collen Forsyth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th minute, Rhett Berry left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Neath fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Neath's Heilyn Holcomb got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bwlch Thatcher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heilyn Holcomb in the 83rd minute of play. When Neath's Rhett Berry in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cardiff's goalie prevented a goal. Bwlch Thatcher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sayer Hitchcock in the 89th minute of the match. If Deiniol Hinton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Deiniol Hinton struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Mabon Keelan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cardiff. After 94 minutes, Heilyn Holcomb mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Neath and the Cardiff players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 94th minute, Heilyn Holcomb hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Neath were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Cardiff for a fine match.
