Seating: 1814, VIP seats: 0) In the 16th minute, Simon Fox got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 18 minutes into the game, Simon Fox recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Taylor McGilvernock. Simon Fox showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Kenny Niven scored 2-0 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Taylor McGilvernock, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Bellshill's Donald Ellwood got a free kick in the 29th minute. Simon Fox received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Taylor McGilvernock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simon Fox fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taylor McGilvernock having to interfere. Ryde's Taylor McGilvernock proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Ryde from getting a goal against them. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
After 54 played minutes Bellshill got a freekick which was hit by Ronan McIlvrae. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bellshill's goalkeeper Murray Haws, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ryde's Taylor McGilvernock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Fox in the 66th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Kenny Niven made a precise shot to the right of Taylor McGilvernock. Ryde's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Simon Fox in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Taylor McGilvernock prevented the ball from getting in the gole. John Tolmie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taylor McGilvernock having to interfere. Murray Haws made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Gregor McClymont sent off a good shot on target. Innes McVanish received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Murray Haws tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Simon Fox left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bellshill fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Thanks to some nice moves Gregor McClymont could shoot a difficult shot in the 86th minute, which Murray Haws however easily saved by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Simon Fox managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bellshill's supporters rose to their feet, but Simon Fox was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Taylor McGilvernock breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
