Matthew Alexander took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Steve Francis. AttackAcademy's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Robert Scott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th minute, Kevin Kerr hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robert Scott struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Steve Francis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bulgaria The Great F.C.. When AttackAcademy's Neil Charles in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bulgaria The Great F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Duncan McDonald showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neil Charles, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Duncan McDonald took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matt McElfrish, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Neil Charles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duncan McDonald having to interfere. 35 minutes into the game, Robert Scott cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Steve Francis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Robert Scott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 44 minutes, Liam McGreusich managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AttackAcademy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Liam McGreusich was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Rory Reidfurd made the kick off in the second half. Rory Reidfurd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 60th minute Rory Reidfurd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steve Francis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Duncan McDonald managed to avoid a goal in the 71stth minute, when AttackAcademy's Matt McElfrish fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Robert Scott received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Steve Francis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Matt McElfrish sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Bulgaria The Great F.C.'s Duncan McDonald didn't even have to move. Rory Reidfurd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steve Francis having to interfere. Robert Scott received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Steve Francis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steve Francis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rory Reidfurd in the 92nd minute of play. AttackAcademy's Steve Francis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gordon Watt in the 94th minute of play. When Kevin Kerr fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AttackAcademy's protests and gave Kevin Kerr a yellow card for diving instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Bulgaria The Great F.C. had played much better football throughout.
