Spectators: 6804 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1804, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bob McOwl took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 7th match minute, Kilbirnie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raymond Blair to maneuver through the defense. 9 minutes into the match, Oliver Simson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Drew Tonnochy. Kilbirnie's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oliver Simson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Frank Alderson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bob McOwl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Bob McOwl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind AC Glasgow Football's goalkeeper Frank Alderson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Oliver Simson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Drew Tonnochy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gus McQuistan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Frank Alderson having to make a save. After 39 played minutes AC Glasgow Football got a freekick which was hit by James Dunlop. Bob McOwl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christopher McKee to make the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Kilbirnie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raymond Blair to maneuver through the defense. James Dunlop fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Drew Tonnochy having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gus McQuistan in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frank Alderson saved AC Glasgow Football from getting behind. Bob McOwl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Frank Alderson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Bob McOwl managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kilbirnie's supporters rose to their feet, but Bob McOwl was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frank Alderson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gus McQuistan in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frank Alderson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 93rd minute Christopher McKee shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Drew Tonnochy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The AC Glasgow Football players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
