The Alfordigans FC's Hamish McLulich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christopher McKee in the 18th minute of play. AC Glasgow Football's Oliver Simson got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25th minute Keith McNaughton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Alderson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Billy Aldridge fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Alfordigans FC's protests and gave Billy Aldridge a yellow card for diving instead. Billy Aldridge hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christopher McKee to strike the kick off in the second half. Hamish McLulich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christopher McKee, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute.
