Spectators: 7852 (Terracing: 5890, Seating: 1806, VIP seats: 156) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Benjamín Siña took the kick off in the first half of the match. Gus McQuistan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Ben Laidlaw tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Drummore defense, Bob McOwl kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ben Laidlaw. The Drummore fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ben Laidlaw should have stopped the shot. The Kilbirnie fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Kilbirnie's Bob McOwl looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 21st minute, Drummore's Benjamín Siña dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Timmy McLise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Drew Tonnochy having to interfere. If Shane Gillespie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Drew Tonnochy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamín Siña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Drummore's Ben Laidlaw played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gus McQuistan in the 31st minute of play. A collision led to Kilbirnie getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Kevin McQuisten hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, Drummore's goal looked a bit too open when Bob McOwl came free, but Ben Laidlaw reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benjamín Siñas short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Drew Tonnochy to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bob McOwl in the 39th minute of play forced Drummore's goalkeeper Ben Laidlaw to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Drew Tonnochy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Timmy McLise in the 41st minute. Charlie Corstorphine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Drew Tonnochy having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Kilbirnie's Anthony Porter got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Benjamín Siñas short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Drew Tonnochy to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Kenny Barbour hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benjamín Siña in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Drew Tonnochy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Bob McOwl made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Kevin McQuisten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th match minute, Kilbirnie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gus McQuistan to maneuver through the defense. Drew Tonnochy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benjamín Siña's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Kilbirnie's zone, Benjamín Siña stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Drew Tonnochy came out of the goal and Benjamín Siña tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ben Laidlaw made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Anthony Porter sent off a good shot on target. 72 minutes into the match, Kilbirnie's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamín Siña came free, but Drew Tonnochy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute, Kilbirnie's Raymond Blair seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Raymond Blair the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Kilbirnie protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Raymond Blair had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, Kilbirnie's Raymond Blair got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute, Shane Gillespie sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Kilbirnie's Drew Tonnochy didn't even have to move. When Drummore's Benjamín Siña in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kilbirnie's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 90 minutes, Greg McPhater managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Drummore's supporters crossed their fingers, but Greg McPhater was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gus McQuistan kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The Drummore manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Kilbirnie to win.
