After a rather tough play, Yarmouth United's Michael Hunter got a free kick in the 9th minute. Steve Ellwood recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st match minute, Yarmouth United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Terry Burdon to maneuver through the defense. Murray McCansh's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ivan Appleby read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andy Addison in the 26th minute of play forced Dunoon's goalkeeper Charles Boyd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Ivan Appleby managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Dunoon's Jacob Suttie fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ivan Appleby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murray McCansh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Dunoon getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Stuart Bell hit a great ball. Andy Addison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Boyd having to interfere. The wind increased when Andy Addison made the kick off in the second half. When Yarmouth United's Steve Ellwood in 55 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Charles Boyd guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. 56 minutes into the match, Dunoon's goalkeeper Charles Boyd had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Steve Ellwood. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Murray McCansh during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Terry Burdon couldn't finish the play. Yarmouth United's Ivan Appleby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacob Suttie in the 74th minute of play. Steve Ellwood took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Charles Boyd. Charles Boyd dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Yarmouth United's Ivan Appleby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacob Suttie in the 81st minute of play. The supporters of Dunoon booed when Yarmouth United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Terry Burdon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacob Suttie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Appleby having to interfere. Matt Risk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andy Addison showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Yarmouth United had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
