Frank Alderson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andy Addison in the 3rd minute of play. Frank Alderson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Though ot was a great shot Yarmouth United's keeper Ivan Appleby was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. AC Glasgow Football's Frank Alderson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andy Addison in the 15th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Yarmouth United's Andy Addison sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frank Alderson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Andy Addison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frank Alderson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andy Addison in the 23rd minute of play. Blair Marnoch hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. A collision led to AC Glasgow Football getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Frankie Caddell hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, Andy Addison got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frank Alderson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Steve Ellwood's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind AC Glasgow Football's goalkeeper Frank Alderson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 40 minutes into the game, Christopher McKee recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ivan Appleby. Christopher McKee showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After 44 played minutes Yarmouth United got a freekick which was hit by Terry Burdon. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when AC Glasgow Football's Christopher McKee in the 46th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Ivan Appleby was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Yarmouth United through an amazing save.

Frank Alderson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliver Howe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Andy Addison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Frank Alderson managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Yarmouth United's Steve Ellwood fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 61st minute, Christopher McKee made a precise shot to the right of Ivan Appleby. Yarmouth United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Steve Ellwood got free with Frank Alderson in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Steve Ellwood's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Frank Alderson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 71st minute of the match Barry McCarter sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frank Alderson skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, AC Glasgow Football's David Duffie got a free kick in the 71st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Steve Ellwood got free with Frank Alderson in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Steve Ellwood recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. AC Glasgow Football's Frank Alderson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save AC Glasgow Football from getting a goal against them. Christopher McKee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Ivan Appleby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Steve Ellwood in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frank Alderson saved AC Glasgow Football from getting behind.
