The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to AC Glasgow Football getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Jeremy McPhorich hit a great ball. Calum Buckley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Alderson having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 8th minute by Oliver Simson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rob McGillegowie in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frank Alderson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jeremy McPhorich kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Calum Buckley made a precise shot to the right of Frank Alderson. AC Glasgow Football's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Frank Alderson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Calum Buckley went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 23rd minute, Oliver Simson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ronnie McKinnon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christopher McKee, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oliver Simson got free with Ronnie McKinnon in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Christopher McKee's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ronnie McKinnon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Frank Alderson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marc Forstar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frank Alderson came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Leven's Rob McGillegowie. But to his dismay, Rob McGillegowie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. With a little luck, Leven's Ronnie McKinnon got control of the ball when Oliver Simson tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Marc Forstar came up free with the goalie in the 49th minute, the Leven fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marc Forstar couldn't finish the play. After the first half Leven were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

James Dunlop kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Frankie Caddell took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ronnie McKinnon. Leven's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 66th minute, Calum Buckley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. David Riach kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 73rd match minute, Leven was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rob McGillegowie to maneuver through the defense. Rob McGillegowie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Frank Alderson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. AC Glasgow Football's Frank Alderson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rob McGillegowie in the 79th minute of play. In the 79th match minute, AC Glasgow Football was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Irvin McInnes to maneuver through the defense. After 85 played minutes AC Glasgow Football got a freekick which was hit by James Dunlop. Frank Alderson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rob McGillegowie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the match, AC Glasgow Football's goal looked a bit too open when Rob McGillegowie came free, but Frank Alderson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 92 minutes, Marc Forstar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leven and the AC Glasgow Football players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 92 played minutes Leven got a freekick which was hit by Marc Forstar. When the final whistle sounded Leven left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than AC Glasgow Football.
