Spectators: 6791 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1791, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Andy Addison kicked off to start the match. After 2 played minutes Dunoon got a freekick which was hit by Matt Risk. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacob Suttie in the 7th minute of play forced Yarmouth United's goalkeeper Ivan Appleby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacob Suttie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Ivan Appleby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Yarmouth United's zone, Murray McCansh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Appleby came out of the goal and Murray McCansh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 14th minute, Yarmouth United's Andy Addison ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Charles Boyd. Charles Boyd yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 17 minutes into the match, Dunoon's goal looked a bit too open when Andy Addison came free, but Charles Boyd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Murray McCansh sped through Yarmouth United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ivan Appleby. After 31 played minutes Dunoon got a freekick which was hit by Matt Risk. A collision led to Dunoon getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Stuart Bell hit a great ball. If Steve Ellwood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Yarmouth United were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Dunoon's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tony McCartair took the corner. Steve Ellwood who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 44thth minute tested the skills of Charles Boyd when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Jacob Suttie came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Dunoon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacob Suttie couldn't finish the play. Ivan Appleby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murray McCansh in the 47th minute of play.

54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Yarmouth United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marcus Park was slow to take the kick. During this time Dunoon's players had a chance to rest. Dunoon's Marcus Park was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ivan Appleby in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After having played for 60 minutes, Matt Risk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dunoon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matt Risk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steve Ellwood in the 63rd minute of play forced Dunoon's goalkeeper Charles Boyd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the game, Tony McCartair was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yarmouth United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dunoon the free kick. When the match had been going on for 69 minutes, Dunoon's Marcus Park got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ivan Appleby. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Steve Ellwood in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Charles Boyd prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Dunoon getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Matt Risk hit a great ball. Andy Addison might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Charles Boyd. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andy Addison ran back to his position shaking his head. Steve Ellwood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andy Addison in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Charles Boyd prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ivan Appleby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murray McCansh in the 89th minute of the match. Sid Davison struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Charles Boyd didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yarmouth United. In the 94th minute Steve Ellwood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles Boyd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stuart Bell kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Dunoon walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
