Murray McCansh blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hamish McLulich having to make a save. Dunoon's Jacob Suttie got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the The Alfordigans FC defense, Murray McCansh kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hamish McLulich. The The Alfordigans FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hamish McLulich should have stopped the shot. After having played for 47 minutes, Murray McCansh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dunoon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Murray McCansh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, The Alfordigans FC's Irvin Boyd got a free kick in the 51st minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Keith McNaughton couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, The Alfordigans FC's Hamish McLulich got control of the ball when Stuart Bell tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 98th minute, Keith McNaughton made a precise shot to the right of Charles Boyd. Dunoon's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Dunoon walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
