Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Reynaldo Tande started the match with the kick off. 10 minutes into the match, Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels's goal looked a bit too open when Evan Ayson came free, but Tyler Scobie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute, Cromarty FC's Jack Christie dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Evan Wilson during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cromarty FC's Freddie McOwl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Tande in the 18th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Jack Christie notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels's Tyler Scobie. Tyler Scobie was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 23 minutes into the match, Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels's goalkeeper Tyler Scobie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jack Christie. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Jack Christie took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Tyler Scobie to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Cromarty FC's Evan Ayson got a free kick in the 31st minute. Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels were furious when Lourenco Carces was red carded, 34 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 34th match minute, Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lourenco Carces to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Frankie Lauchlan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels's supporters rose to their feet, but Frankie Lauchlan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Freddie McOwl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jason McPhedran in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Freddie McOwl saved Cromarty FC from getting behind. Frankie Lauchlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gary McQuhirr in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Freddie McOwl prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels's Frankie Lauchlan got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Evan Ayson made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Gary McQuhirr had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Freddie McOwl. Cromarty FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gary McQuhirr was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 55th minute, Kieran Cook hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Frankie Lauchlan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels's supporters rose to their feet, but Frankie Lauchlan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Freddie McOwl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jason McPhedran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Freddie McOwl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 63 minutes into the game, Evan Wilson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Tyler Scobie was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tyler Scobie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evan Ayson in the 66th minute of the match. If Gary McQuhirr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frankie Lauchlan struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Freddie McOwl didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cromarty FC's goalkeeper Freddie McOwl, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tyler Scobie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evan Ayson in the 78th minute of play. 79 minutes into the game, Cromarty FC's Evan Wilson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tyler Scobie made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Evan Ayson during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Frankie Lauchlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. William McMaurice's late challenge caught a Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. William McMaurice helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Cromarty FC's William McMaurice got a free kick in the 86th minute. When Frankie Lauchlan came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frankie Lauchlan couldn't finish the play. Freddie McOwl made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Frankie Lauchlan sent off a good shot on target. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Cromarty FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels for much of the match.
