After having played for 9 minutes, Reynaldo Tande managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reynaldo Tande was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Cromarty FC booed when Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramon Ommen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 17 minutes, Jack Christie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cromarty FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jack Christie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Evan Ayson scored 0-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tyler Scobie, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels's Gary McQuhirr slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Freddie McOwl. That made the score 1-1 after 26 minutes of play. Tyler Scobie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack Christie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evan Ayson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Frankie Lauchlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cromarty FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Jason McPhedran scored to the left of an out of position Freddie McOwl, making the score, 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Kieran Cook managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels's supporters rose to their feet, but Kieran Cook was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Freddie McOwl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

If Reynaldo Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cromarty FC's Freddie McOwl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jason McPhedran in the 60th minute of play. Frankie Lauchlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels's Gary McQuhirr got a free kick in the 64th minute. Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels's Tyler Scobie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels from getting a goal against them. After 68 minutes, Oliver Rusk mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cromarty FC and the Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels players grew even worse after the yellow card. Oliver Rusk hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute, Gary McQuhirr got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Freddie McOwl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jason McPhedran in the 70th minute of play. When Gary McQuhirr came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gary McQuhirr couldn't finish the play. 77 minutes into the match, Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels's Frankie Lauchlan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Freddie McOwl narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Cromarty FC's zone, Frankie Lauchlan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Freddie McOwl came out of the goal and Frankie Lauchlan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Frankie Lauchlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gary McQuhirr received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Freddie McOwl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jason McPhedran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by William McMaurice in the 88th minute of play forced Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels's goalkeeper Tyler Scobie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Freddie McOwl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frankie Lauchlan in the 90th minute of the match. If Gary McQuhirr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
