Spectators: 8045 (Terracing: 6035, Seating: 1850, VIP seats: 160) Anthony Limond started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 5th minute Brandon Cameron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Terence McInroy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Max McLardy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nick McVey having to interfere. A collision led to Sunderland getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Jack Millar hit a great ball. Brandon Cameron recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th minute, David Mein hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brandon Cameron in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Terence McInroy saved Kinlochleven from getting behind. Nick McVey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Huntly, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Max McLardy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Brandon Cameron came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Sunderland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brandon Cameron couldn't finish the play. After 36 played minutes Kinlochleven got a freekick which was hit by Matthew McKillop. 40 minutes into the match, Kinlochleven's goal looked a bit too open when Anthony Limond came free, but Terence McInroy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brandon Cameron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Terence McInroy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adrian Huntly made a kick off. Edward Cumming's late challenge caught a Kinlochleven's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edward Cumming helped the player get up and apologised. After 65 played minutes Sunderland got a freekick which was hit by Jack Millar. Kinlochleven's Adrian Huntly got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Kinlochleven's David Mein got a free kick in the 74th minute. Sunderland's Nick McVey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Max McLardy in the 78th minute of play. Euan Douglas kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of Sunderland:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kinlochleven:s goal. When David Mein came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Kinlochleven fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Mein couldn't finish the play. In the 89th minute Max McLardy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nick McVey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adrian Huntly sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nick McVey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Max McLardy in the 94th minute of play. Max McLardy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Nick McVey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Sunderland's zone, Adrian Huntly stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nick McVey came out of the goal and Adrian Huntly tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
