Ronnie Clement breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Greig Linklater in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ronnie Clement prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gus Aspin in the 42nd minute of play forced Riverside United F.C's goalkeeper Benjamin Gilbertson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Riverside United F.C's zone, Fraser McGeachie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benjamin Gilbertson came out of the goal and Fraser McGeachie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Matt McCook kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Riverside United F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Gus Aspin came free, but Benjamin Gilbertson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gus Aspin to strike the kick off in the second half. Fraser McGeachie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Benjamin Gilbertson made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Callum Corbet in the 83rd minute of play forced rangers team's goalkeeper Ronnie Clement to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gus Aspin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Gilbertson having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Riverside United F.C had won after a very even match.
