Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ivan Grewar started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After having played for 12 minutes, Max McLardy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kinlochleven's supporters crossed their fingers, but Max McLardy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 20thth minute of the game Max McLardy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mauchline's Edward Archibald was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adrian Huntly received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Edward Archibald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Mauchline getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Ivan Grewar hit a great ball. Max McLardy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angus Swanson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Terence McInroy having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Kinlochleven's zone, Angus Swanson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Terence McInroy came out of the goal and Angus Swanson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Angus Swanson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edward Archibald made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Huntly in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adrian Huntly to make the kick off. If Adrian Huntly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Adrian Huntly managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kinlochleven's supporters rose to their feet, but Adrian Huntly was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edward Archibald breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 55th minute, Ivan Grewar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 58 minutes into the match, Kinlochleven's goal looked a bit too open when Angus Swanson came free, but Terence McInroy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 71 minutes, Angus Swanson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adrian Huntly in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edward Archibald prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mauchline's Edward Archibald played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Huntly in the 84th minute of play. Edward Archibald didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adrian Huntly went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 95th minute, Ivan Grewar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
