After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Callum Corbet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Riverside United F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Callum Corbet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Terence McInroy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Riverside United F.C's Callum Corbet got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Greig Linklater sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 29 played minutes, Kinlochleven's Murray Gow shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benjamin Gilbertson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kinlochleven reached it. With 34 minutes on the clock, Murray Gow commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 34 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Kinlochleven! Lucas Dempster sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Kinlochleven's goalkeeper Terence McInroy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Max McLardy to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Max McLardy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Benjamin Gilbertson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Terence McInroy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Greig Linklater in the 63rd minute of the match. Greig Linklater fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Terence McInroy having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Greig Linklater in the 68th minute of play forced Kinlochleven's goalkeeper Terence McInroy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Greig Linklater received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Terence McInroy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Terence McInroy came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Riverside United F.C's Callum Corbet. But to his dismay, Callum Corbet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Callum Corbet scored 4-1 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Terence McInroy, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Terence McInroy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Greig Linklater in the 86th minute of the match. Max McLardy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benjamin Gilbertson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. 96 minutes into the game, Riverside United F.C's Greig Linklater nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Terence McInroy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Riverside United F.C's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
