But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brandon Cameron couldn't finish the play. Edward Archibald showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anthony Limond, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. During the 63rd minute of the match Patrick Tolmie completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Patrick Tolmie a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Mauchline booed when Sunderland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Tolmie didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Mauchline's goal looked a bit too open when Jack Millar came free, but Edward Archibald reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sunderland's Brandon Cameron got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 94 minutes of play Mauchline's Angus Swanson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 95th match minute, Mauchline was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angus Swanson to maneuver through the defense. Sunderland succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Mauchline had controlled the match.
